Hello. I am helping design a scheme in Wales that would make available relatively small grants (max £20,000) to help groups design and deliver behaviour change projects, using CBSM or other proven behaviour change techniques.
Does anyone know of any other grant schemes with similar aims as a literature review at this early stage would be most helpful!

Hi,
Some behaviour change projects have been funded in New Zealand through the Ministry for the Environment's Community Environment Fund and their now defunct Sustainable Management Fund. Their funding process has been reviewed a number of times, and seems to be streamlined quite nicely now - in terms of not too much work involved for the applicant until the project is pretty certain to get funding, and then a Ministry staff member "Funding Advisor" works with the applicant to prepare a detailed project plan (at which point they provide useful guidance documents on behaviour change programmes, milestone deliverables etc.), and can also put them in touch with previous fund recipients for advice.

You might look at the Public Participation Grants from the Washington (state) Dept. of Ecology. Not strictly CBSM, but uses the Bennett's Hierarchy to ensure applicants start with the behavior change they want and craft their project around that. The full details are in the Guidelines document
