Ohio EPA is in the process of developing a guide (toolkit) for Solid Waste Management Districts to use to implement CBSM campaigns within their jurisdictions. We would like to provide the SWMDs with real-life examples of CBSM related to PAYT, apartment complex recycling, composting, special event recycling, curbside etc. Anything related to solid waste management, solid waste reduction and recycling.
These examples would also be useful for Ohio EPA to get a better understanding of how CBSM is being applied by different agencies, municipalities etc.
We have researched extensively about what CBSM is and have created instructions for implementing a CBSM campaign but now we are looking for real-life success stories.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The City of Red Deer in Alberta, Canada (population ~100,000) has run a CBSM program for three years encouraging residents to back yard compost. The program is incredibly popular, and I am more than happy to share all the resources we have created. You can see more information about the program at www.reddeer.ca/composting.
I have attached an abbreviated report on our first year's results. I am finalizing the second year report in the next couple weeks and hope to put together a package of our resources to share with other organizations.
Please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss further (this offer is open to anyone) at 403-314-5894 or [email protected].

Dear all,
I have been attending the workshops of Dr. Mckenzie recently. I am quite interested on the methodology and keen to see how it can help us locally to boost the recycling programs we are managing. I plan to have budgets in 2017 to start working with the methodology. In the meantime, I have a student working on a Master thesis working with us and trying to do some initial work on identifying barriers and benefits to curbside recycling of packaging. She plans to run a quantitative research survey in a local community for the barriers and benefits and prepare a report of her findings. I am wondering if any of you has a sample of such a questionnaire which she might be able to retrofit and run in locally. She does not have the time and the resources to do a qualitative research and then built her survey.
We would appreciate any relevant support
Sincerely

Adam:
Have you already looked at http://www.toolsofchange.com/en/topic-resources/waste-reduction/ ? There are lots of waste-related case studies there that generally follow the cbsm methodology.
