Hi Everyone, As K-12 schools and teacher preparation try to integrate education for sustainability in their curriculum, they use learner-centered pedagogies, such as problem-based learning, community-based learning, and experiential learning. An approach that is commonly used involves having students identify an environmental challenge at their school or school grounds, campuses, and/or in the community and then to propose solutions for addressing it. I am looking for examples, papers, or other information about ways in which behavioral change information and tools, such as CBSM, have been introduced and used with students in these types of projects. Thank you in advance for any information you might share.

The Tools of Change website (www.toolsofchange.com), founded on the principles of cbsm, hosts a number of case studies demonstrating the use of cbsm to engage K-16 classrooms in identifying and addressing environmental problems at their schools and in their communities. Our most recent case study, which we are just about to promote is California's Energy Conservation Competition (https://toolsofchange.com/en/case-studies/detail/732).
