I am looking for methods and stories of gaining deep employee buy-in in corporate and government sustainability efforts. This means that the employees are truly engaged, not just a little recycling or energy savings efforts. I would like to hear about examples in which the employees, after innovative engagement strategies are implemented, actually make sustainability part of their business and personal missions. So they likely carry these efforts home and in their communities.

Last month I set up a challenge for City employees. 185 employees pledged to be a Sustainability Superhero. Collectively we avoided 25,212 lbs of CO2e or 13 tons of GHGs. I have a nice pledge sheet with seven suggested actions, pounds of CO2e saved and financial savings. I took the City logo off the sheet so if any one wants to use it - I have attcahed it below.
