Hello everyone,
I am an energy engineer from 3M that works on reducing the carbon footprint of all 3M manufacturing plants in Canada. I am working on developing a program that supports GHG reduction through behavior change. The behaviour change needs to look at key behavioral economic concepts.
I am having trouble finding case studies where the setting is in the workplace. Would anyone have any projects that have helped decrease GHG emissions through behavior change at the workplace?
Thank you in advance,
Vithu

Hi Vithu, I've developed a resource library for embedding sustainability in the culture, which includes quite a few links to behaviour change studies, grouped by the enablers of a culture of sustainability.

Hi Vithu, I focus on commercial buildings so I know what you mean (there are fewer workplace behavioral programs). But here are some of my favorites.

Hi Vithu:
On the Tools of Change website there are many workplace behavior change case studies that have either measured or imputed impacts on GHG reductions, or that have measured impacts on energy and/or transportation related behavior changes that would lead to corresponding GHG reductions. The website is based on cbsm rather than behavioral economics but you will still find many BE approaches used under different names.
I suggest you start with:
